What Tornado Shelter Options Does Stormbox Have?
At Stormbox, we offer three permanent sizes of tornado shelters and one portable size to fit your specific needs. Stormbox’s sizes are based on capacity and the three permanent shelter sizes are 14-Person, 27-Person, and 49-Person. If you are in need of tornado shelter for more people, Stormbox can still accommodate your needs. Many larger organizations choose to implement a multi-shelter structure on their property to safely provide storm shelter for as many people as needed. For example, if you need tornado shelter for 175 people, having four 49-Person Stormbox shelters is an excellent option for keeping everyone safe during tornado season.
14-Person Tornado Shelter
The 14-Person tornado shelter is 8’ wide, 8’6” tall, and 10’ long. This gives 14 people 80 square feet to comfortably ride out the storm. Additionally, every tornado shelter at Stormbox includes:

- Built-in convection ventilation
- Two ADA-compliant doors
- Electrical and backup power for up to 90 minutes of emergency power
The 14-Person tornado shelter also has a mobile option available. The mobile option can be rented or purchased for short-term, long-term, and seasonal use.
27-Person Tornado Shelter
The 27-Person tornado shelter is 8’ wide, 8’6” tall, and 20’ long. This gives up to 27 people 160 square feet to comfortably stay safe in tornado weather. Additionally, every Stormbox tornado shelter includes:
